Oh hello, I did not see you there.
My name is Luke Colomey and I am a student at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine majoring in Political Science and minoring in Business and English. I was born in Tucson, Arizona, raised in Cumberland, Rhode Island and I am set to graduate in 2022. My collegiate involvement includes working for UNE’s Phonathon Department raising donations and acting as the Editor-In-Chief for UNE’s artistic journal the Zephyr (1). My career aspirations involve attending law school after graduation, and towards that goal I have participated in internships with a defense attorney (in Biddeford) (2) and with a mayor’s office (in Cumberland) (3).
Now that the stuffy talk is out of the way, I would like to share a few personal details about myself. I am an avid NFL fan, my favorite teams being the New England Patriots, the Carolina Panthers, the Los Angeles Chargers, and newfound interest in the Buffalo Bills. I absolutely adore movies, some of my all-time favorites being A Few Good Men, The Thing (the 80s one), The Dark Knight, Remember the Titans, and of course, the greatest movie ever created, Jaws. Furthermore, I am a gigantic superhero nerd, with the ones I most follow being Captain America, Wolverine, and the hands-down GOAT of superheroes, Batman. These hobbies are continued in my affinity for collection, as I have a wide-ranging movie collection (alphabetically organized) and an extensive comic-book collection (chronologically organized by publisher). A last fun fact is that my favorite animals include great white sharks (hence the icon), penguins, and bengal tigers.
